First, let me start by saying that delivery took extremely long and that should not be . I needed something to help my son keep his room neat and tidy and I thought that this would help. It helped for about a minute. The concept of this unit is grand; however, it is not holding up to the demands of what it claims it can hold. I have a 19 inch TV, a VCR, GameCube, Nintendo 64, 10 VHS tapes and a few gamecube games and the unit is leaning to the side. The drawers are not closing like they should. I don't like the idea of having to drill nails straight through the plastic shelves in order to connect them to the sides of the unit. The plastic is the only thing that is sturdy, but, what good does that do you when the assembled unit is weak when it is holding the very things it was meant to hold. I have to return this to the store. It is just not worth the money I paid for it.

The deluxe video center is great !! It has plenty of storage for video tapes, DVDs, and CDs. It was very easy to put together. It is very sturdy if a power screw driver is used to assemble. The top shelf measures 22 inches. If your TV is wider than 22 inches, it will not fit onto the top shelf. Most 19 or 20 inch FLAT SCREEN televisions measure approx 23 inches wide. So, make sure that the width of the TV is 22 inches or less. Otherwise, it is a very good buy and very sturdy if assembled properly.

I purchased this for my son last christmas. The center itself is pretty sturdy but that is the only good thing about it. The drawers are hard to get in and out. The tray where the T.V. sits in starting to sink in the middle. I bought this brand new. If I had it to do all over again I would not buy this item.

This item is not worth the money. I got a brand new gamecube and it scraped the top of it. I was not happy. The drawers are hard to open and shut. If I was to purchase this item again I would not.

I have a daycare with 6 children. I have this is in the corner of the daycare room and it is just great. Holds the TV and the DVD player. plus tons on DVDs I dont even think I could own enough DVDS to cover all of the shelves in the front and on the sides. It also stores Music Cds. In the two drawers I have a playstation 2 which is neatly stored away so the younger children dont get into it. Takes up minimal space holds up to a 25 inch TV I believe. Very STURDY! As my kids have climbed it several times would not tip over Im sure. This would be great in a childs room or in a game room. I 100% recommend this ITs a bit pricey but quite worth it as it will last and last. If you do have to move this I would not take it apart ...as it might loose its sturdyness otherwise very Sturdy!

Review by G. Combs for Narita Corner TV/ Media Stand - Walnut
Rating:
I purchased the Narita Corner TV Stand (made by Southern Enterprises, Inc., model MS987100TX) through Amazon.com from totally Furniture on Feb 8, 2009. The stand was purchased to hold a Sony 46 Inch, Z Series LCD television, with the intent of using the inner storage space for components (Combination DVD Recorder/Player/VCR, and future Blue Ray Recorder/Player, along with media) The space is ample for those purposes. I am using little woven baskets inside the cabinet to hold the media on the shelves, which is working out well. The material of the cabinet is man-made "engineered" wood product, of extremely high quality. It looks virtually like fine wood, and is solid (not veneered) construction. It has anchors pre-installed from the factory that receive the Allen screws. The fit and finish of all pieces is excellent. The cabinet requires about 2 hours to assemble, taking your time, to get everything perfect. When completed, you cannot tell it was assembled, and looks like it was purchased in any fine furniture store. It is very strong, sturdy, very heavy. This tand would easily handle a 50 inch flat screen TV, or even larger, so far as weight goes, and the overhang would not be noticable, since it is a corner TV stand. (But could be used for a regular wall, and is finshed on the back) The design and construction of this product is remarkable, and will meet most people's expectations. One thing that I had not thought about was how the wood cross-hatch design of the doors would affect signals from the IR Remotes to the components inside, with the doors closed. This has turned out not to be a problem, and the components work fine with the doors closed. (Panasonic DVD Player/Recorder with VCR combo)

Side note. One piec was damaged when I performed assembly. (Cam-lock piece that holds the top in place on one corner) I requested a replacement from SEI thorugh their e-mail address for support on lost, missing or broken parts, but never received a reply. It was not a critical component, and doesn't show (it's only to secure the top, which is also secured by other fasteners), so I dropped the matter.

If you buy this stand, be careful not to use too much force on the Cam-lock part. It is rather soft pot-metal, and will easily bend instead of going properly into place. That was my problem.

Pretty much as advertised. Easy to assemble and seems sturdy. I'm not a big fan of particle board construction, but it should work fine in an interior location.
